Seems we're on a similar path Keenan. First sleep hacks, now fighting the distraction/negative ROI of our (de)vices.
I'm in the middle of severely reducing my smartphone usage (writing about it too) and the first thing I noticed was my brain just seemed to work better. I could form sentences more fully with ease, I could articulate my emotions better - suffice it to say my focus improved.
You mentioned that you felt a distinct boost in your energy and zest for life as a result of removing the time-sucks. I'm curious if you noticed a boost in your cognition too?
